Changing times!

Firstly, an apology for not updating since last summer! Things have changed a little since then, I have a new job, still coaching tennis, but working with the Great Britain wheelchair tennis programme. It's been an exciting change so far and has really challenged me to adapt my coaching style to a different audience.

I have coached wheelchair tennis in the past, working with a couple of players as their individual coaches alongside my club coaching duties. Both players were reasonably successful and obtained world rankings whilst I was working with them, but I was very 'green' and basically making it up as I went along!

Now I have the opportunity to work with an incredible group of players, from juniors to current Paralympic champions and with the 2012 Olympics/Paralympics in London this year it really will be an exciting time to be involved (although the majority of the players I look after are aiming for Rio 2016).

I will endeavour to get back into regularly updating this blog again, mostly as it helps me keep track of what I am up to and where I have been!

With that in mind, my next entry will likely come from Tarbes, France, during the prestigious Les Petit AS event, as it features the ITF Junior Wheelchair Masters and I am taking our two top juniors out to hopefully bring home some titles! Might even spot a champion of the future from the able-bodied event too!

Cheers!

(Oh, and a belated HNY!)
